Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Anasinski is a Board Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Surgeon. She completed her residency at Northwestern University and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago Department of Advanced Specialty Education in Periodontology. She is a Diplomat of the Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery. She is the Chicago Dental Society Regional Educational Program Chairperson. She also served as President of the North Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society. She is the founder of The Greater Chicago Dental Academy, an organization she created to further the continuing dental education of dental professionals, and provides five seminars per year.

Her interest in Periodontics began when she became a Dental Hygienist. She attended Loyola Dental School of Dentistry and became a Dentist, then completed her two year Periodontal residency. Her background has enabled her to provide superb results through nonsurgical methods in treatment for periodontal / gum disease. She is also known by her patients for her kind and gentle manner.

She has lectured and written several articles on topics in Periodontology and Dental Implants, including effective non-surgical therapies, advanced techniques in regenerative and implant surgery, and periodontal plastic surgery. She is affiliated with the American Academy of Periodontology, Midwest Society of Periodontists, Illinois State Society of Periodontists, American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Osseointegration, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Richard A. Bona earned his dental degree at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, and received his Certificate in Fixed Prosthodontics at Marquette University School of Dentistry.

Dr. Bona has many years of experience in dental practice and dental education. After graduation from dental school, he joined his father’s dental practice in the south suburbs. After completing his residency in Prosthodontics, he joined the faculty at University of Illinois College of Dentistry. After several years, in addition to private practice, he continued to teach dental and dental hygiene students.

Because dentistry has been rewarding to him and his family, he contributes to dentistry through involvement in several professional organizations. He served in many leadership positions, including President of the Dental Arts Club, the Independent Dental Organization, and the South Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society.  Dr. Bona was recently selected to the prestigious position as president of the Illinois State Dental Society. The Illinois State Dental Society is one of the largest state societies.  It is a branch of the American dental society that optimizes the oral health care for citizens, through education, legislation and communication.



Throughout his involvement with dental education and societies, he has been asked to present at numerous meetings. He has provided multiple participation courses including the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, the Florida Dental Association, the New Orleans Convention, and several times for the American Dental Association.

He participated in his children’s activities, and was a past Grand Knight of his council, coached his son’s 8th grade basketball team, and co-coached his youngest daughter’s softball team with his wife.

He enjoys the practice of dentistry and the rewards of relieving a patient’s pain, improving their smile, and increasing their ability to enjoy food.

Dr. Joshua Ries earned his D.M.D. and his Certificate in Endodontics Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is originally from Madison, Wisconsin, has been practicing dentistry for nearly 15 years and Endodontics in the Chicagoland area for more than a decade. He is the third generation in his family to practice dentistry.

Dr. Ries is an active member of several dental organizations and has held numerous leadership positions. Currently, he is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society (CDS), American Association of Endodontists and The Coolidge Club. He has served as President of the CDS Northside Branch and currently is a member of the CDS Membership Committee and Mediation Committee. Dr. Ries maintains a Medical Staff position at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in the Department of Dentistry.

Dr. Frank S. Sutherland is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dr. Sutherland grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated Dental School, cum laude and did his residency training at the University of Tennessee. He was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, National Dental Honor Society. 

Dr. Sutherland has owned and operated numerous private practices through out central Florida.  He has worked in group practices in Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Tennessee and Wisconsin.  Most recently he has been in the Chicago area working with Board Certified clinicians providing the most advanced procedures in complex dental implant treatment including "All-on-4" technique. This highly technical procedure allows patients who suffer from missing teeth due to periodontal disease, decay, injury or genetics to restore their smile in one day.

He continues to expand his knowledge and skills by keeping up with the most current and innovative procedures in oral surgery.  Dr. Sutherland is an experienced clinician in the use of the CO2 laser for skin resurfacing and has been a preceptor/trainer for the Lumenis Corporation, USA. He is trained and permitted in dental anesthesia and has been a prior dental anesthesia inspector for the State of Florida Board of Dentistry.

Dr. Sutherland's philosophy is to treat every patient with the highest quality of care. To listen to the patient, recognize their needs and provide the safest, most comfortable treatment. "I recognize that coming to a dental office can be quite frightening.  I want the patient to know that I will help them get through the procedure comfortably and safely."

In his free time, Dr. Sutherland enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He is a supporter of Catholic Charities, The Wounded Veterans Association, St. Jude's Hospital and Catholic education.

Dr. Alan Alfield graduated from dental school in 2013, and completed his three-year residency in Prosthodontics, in addition to his Master’s Degree at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, Gainesville, FL in 2021. He mentored dental students and served as the chief resident in his senior year. 
 
 Dr. Alfield, specializes in full mouth reconstructions with crowns and bridges, simple to full arch dental implant placement and restorations, All on Four dental implant procedures, and aesthetic dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the American College of Prosthodontics. 

Dr. Alfield was born and raised in southern California. Being a health care provider by practicing dentistry has become a gift to help others and express his passion for the profession. He also enjoys traveling with his girlfriend, cooking Lithuanian food, and fitness; especially bicycling.
